Thanks everyone! This is all extremely helpful!! ^ It's great to know QF treat those trans-tasman routes so seriously. I feared they might do a 'glorified low cost' such as what NZ was doing even before they changed their concept. Instead, it sounds like a very good product indeed.

Incidentally, I for one regret that QF have stopped flying the domestic NZ routes - I used to fly them for all the flights I could between AKL and WLG/CHC and thought they were vastly more pleasant than NZ (not least because with the emerald status they always used to sit me in the 2x2 section of the cabin at the front ^) I'll admit JQ doesn't nearly have the same appeal...
