With QF being an Aussie brand a non Aussie brand has more appeal to many Kiwis.
JQ NZ uses VH (Australia) Registered aircraft.
I am still PO with QF for dropping QF NZ domestic flights, due to poor investment, lack of commitment and general management incompetence.
JQ has massive advertising in the NZ market, QF was hardly visible.
IME I found that QF fares were cheaper than JQ fares especially if you bought the JQ add ons to get the equivalent level of service.
