I'm 5' tall, but I never have a problem getting my carry-on in the overhead...I usually just have a small bag. It's rare for me to have a rollaboard with me. My problem comes about when things need to be shuffled around in the overhead for me to fit my bag, but then again, that only happens when I'm late in boarding. Usually some kind, tall person will offer to move things for me.
