I guess you realise that pretty much everyone working for AA today signed up at either AA or TWA at a time when Crandall was at the helm? Basically there's been close to zero recruitment of FA's and probably pilots in a decade?

Add to that they staff gave a LOT in 2002/3 just to keep AA flying.

So basically you have a bunch of people whose career path is stagnant to say the least, whose benefits have already been slashed, and whose real incomes have fallen through the floor.

This is NOT the career they signed up for. Whether it's the company or circumstances that caused that is a matter of debate, but there's nonetheless already been an radical, involuntary, devaluation of their "careers".
