Very true.

On the other hand, the VS Clubhouse at LHR is something to write home about (only on the way back home, as it can't be used as an arrival lounge) whereas even the non-Schengen AY lounge is just OK. Of course if it's just a short change of planes, lounge issue is a non-issue.

A decisive factor can be where the OP wants to collect miles
