This situation sounds like they tried to alleviate a problem with the only resources they could, and the passengers made it to their destination safely.
Sorry but this whole post sounds like you're saying "it's no big thing, everyone got to their destination safely...move on"

I could not disagree more. If I got into a plane that had bin bags dangling from the overhead lights I would be very unhappy. I'd soon be more than very unhappy if I was treated to a disco across the Atlantic. Disgraceful that a first world airline would allow a plane in this condition to be seen by customers...let alone used by them. What message does it send out??
