Thanks for the prompt and informative responses.

Will sit tight until my BMI miles are merged with BA. As I live in the USA, I only use BMI/BA for hopping around Europe, which seems to be reasonable with BA, and sadomasochistic with BMI !

You know, if the airlines handled customer service as well as the "Guru's" on FlyerTalk, booking travel with miles would be far less stressful
