Really?

Because Canada is my country and I intend to do my damndest to improve it.

Which is more than I can say for the "if you don't like it, leave it crowd". Really don't care much for the odd combination of sycophancy, fear of change and general laziness inherent in that crowd.

Travel and working abroad provides exposure and lessons. Either you pay attention and learn them, or you close your eyes to them in the belief that there's nothing for you to learn/benefit from. Either which way, the worlds changing. Ignoring beneficial lessons isn't going to change that. Accepting them does not make one un-Canadian either.

Improvement is the goal. Staus quo is often best reserved for people who prefer comfort over improvement. It's evident even in AE.

That's why AE will keep fleecing you. Like a boiling frog convinced that comfort is worth more than an effort to alter ones approach to a changing world.
