Are BMI Miles really this BAD ?
Looking at using some old miles for EDI - VCE in August 2012.

Only flights shown as being available are via Frankfurt = OK.

BMI Rep stated it would be 12,000 miles PLUS 7,500 as there was a connection within zone 2. Is this correct ? 19,500 miles EACH because Star Alliance don't offer a direct flight ?

AND, when APPROXIMATE taxes were calculated, they said TOTAL PER PERSON would be 220 GBP, which is 50 GBP MORE than I can BUY a ticket with BA for !

Are BMI miles really this poor value ?
