I don't think service can ever be too good, or too personal, but it can be intrusive.

I don't like butler service when it is intrusive, but at resorts that get it just right, butler service can be wonderful.

I am not really a fan of butler service at city hotels. I prefer attentive, caring service that is there when I want it but never when I want to be left alone.
