Agreed that calling in sick is a bad idea, but perhaps management should offer some incentives to work on the holidays and solicit volunteers or at least make it less painful if involuntary. Of course since I don't know the AA contracts, maybe they already do this.
If it were that important to unionized employees, those spiffs would already be in the contracts.
