Be careful. If you have to exit security at your connection point remember liquids in containers over 100 mL are forbidden. Security check points daily collect garbage cans full of duty free wine, liquor and perfume.

As for wine/liquor in checked luggage its kind of don't ask don't tell situation. Don't ask for a fragile sticker as you'll be asked about the contents of your bag.

Most airline do require wine/liquor bottles to be packed in a Styrofoam-type insert that is molded to the shape of the bottle and completely encloses the bottle.
