Hi All,

I'm booking travel from ALB to ORD in the next few weeks on United. I have my flights booked, but on one of the flights only has Economy Plus seats left to select. I don't want to pay for Economy Plus seating on a relatively short flight, so I didn't select a seat. My question is, what happens now? Do they eventually just assign me one of the Economy Plus seats? Am I setting myself up to be easily bumped from the flight (its frequently overbooked)? Should I just bite the bullet and purchase the Econ Plus seats to be sure I have a confirmed seat? Or will they assign me a crappy seat in the back near the bathroom in favor of someone who purchases Economy Plus at the last minute?
