I was flying FLR-FCO-TLV I knew that the FLR- FCO segment might be overbooked.
At check in the agent told me that thet have overbooking and "would you like to fly with lufthansa via frankfurt, arrive in TLV 1 hour later and recive 175 euro?"

Of course I was very happy to fly LH instead AZ and recive 175 euro.
Then she said "the 175 euro will be in a travel voucher..."
I hope not to fly AZ again in the near future so asked how much cash are they offering, they offerd none. So I flew AZ...

Is this common practice in AZ?
