liquor purchase and tranfer through seatac

Sorry if this is inappropriate here - jut hoping for some suggestion from those more experienced. If this should be elsewhere please let me know.

At the end of the month we are flying Alaska Airlines from Vancouver to Miami via a transfer at seatac airport for a cruise.

We would like to take on board the cruise a bottle or liquor and some wine (it is allowed)

but how to reasonably make the purchase and transfer.

While we could arrive in MIA empty handed and have a taxi take us to a store and wait a better option would be if we could arrive with bottles in hand.

So many unknowns to me that with all the experience here perhaps someone here on flyertalk can help me with or offer a suggestion.

Right off the top I don't know where I can make a purchase.

I *think* that VYR to US is considered a domestic flight so don't know if I will even be able to buy something at a duty-free at YVR airport before clearing US customs.

Then if I DO arrive at seatac airport with a purchase that is allowed on board on the VYR to seattle leg because it was made within a secure area would we transfer within a secure area at Seattle so I could continue to carry it on-board?

Or can I simply make a purchase at seatac airport and bring that on the plane for the Seattle to Miami leg?

Or should I forget all this and just work it out after we arrive in Miami

I appreciate all comments.
