...i agree, its not BA's fault and asking for compensation is just pushing my luck.
Fog is fog and there are only so many slots per hour. My inbound TATL circled LHR for a good 40 minutes this morning before landing. I was more curious than anything about the monetary compensation. Being based in the US I'm used to north american carriers stranding me without any sort of accommodation while telling me "tough s***", all because the delay is weather related.
Despite it undoubtedly resulting in a mild fare rise the world really should adopt EU like passenger rights legislation. Heck, it would build a ton of good & potential new business if an alliance like one-world decided to adopt a "we wont strand you" policy.
