I agree entirely. I was thinking more about handling the fallout ... insufficient staff, long queues for rebooking, hotels, etc.
As I said elsewhere re T1 tonight, BAA staff we excellent ^^ but BD/LH/OS staff were invisible and left it to the poor BAA guys to hand out letters and take the .... from angry and confused travellers. I just went home to pub.
BAA even had a "contingency plan" for this, apparently. Who'd have thought it ?
