I don't care what it looks like - I do wish they had more useful features, such as the AMEX Platinum/ Centurion, AMEX AAdvantage Executive, Chase and other cards that are now offering no foreign exchange fees. It hurt to use the Surpass card to earn all the points yet endure the forex 3% charges (yes, I am admittedly greedy).
This is my biggest complain with both the SPG and Hitlon AMEX. All the properties I will ever stay at are overseas. I am not willing to pay 3% just for a few points when my Chase Sapphire earns 2 points with no fees. The best part about Chase's hotel cards (Marriott and Hyatt) is that they have no FOREX fees.
