Nothing new here. In 1973, the Michigan State Police and the Detroit City Police placed video cameras at anti-Viet Nam war demonstrations and captured and recorded people at these demonstrations and created the "Red Squad" files which led to 20 years of litigation and ultimately the police were required to destroy the files collected.

I am not worried about me not doing anything wrong and having to fear law enforcement, as I am, to the maximum extent possible honest and law abiding. I even pay the parking meters and have never had a parking ticket.

But, I am worried about the police, agents of government, and yes DHS operatives who either do not know the law, or do know it and could care less. Surveillance of this type is a long step down the road toward total government control.
