I got a map from the hotel concierge and decided to go walk around the Old Town (Stare Miasto). Most of the things were closed since it was a Sunday but there are outdoor displays and exhibitions and it was pretty cool to just walk around the area and take pictures and "feel the Europe," as I like to say. You could spend a good 1.5-2 hours in this area. I took the 160 bus to Stare Miasto, which runs from both the Dw.Centralny Station as well as a stop across the street diagonally from the Westin.
I walked down the street that goes south from Stare Miasto -- Krawkowskie Przedmiescie -- and then walked across to Marszalkowska, grabbed a tram down to Centrum and checked out the area around the Palac Kultry (Palace of Culture). You can't miss it, it's the tallest building in Warsaw.
So that's it. Hopefully that info helps some of you out.
a ^^ for your report
now a few questions
1- if you were to walk to The Westin after you got off the 175 how long would say it would take?
2- how long did it take till you got off the 175, from the airport to the Marriott stop?
3- from the Marriott to the Old City area how long would think it would take to walk it? rather then 160 it
4- did you see any Checkers on either the 175 or the trams?
5- was the 12 zlt pass good for a the day = void say afer midnight or is ita 24 hr pass validate it at noon on Sat its good till noon on Sun?
unlike you I will be in Poland for 5 days WAW just 1 so I will need to change some $$. If the day pass is a24 hr pass it might work for me if its a calendar pass it wont as all I would need is 3 trips , 1 on the 175 and r/t on the 160, next morn I walk across the street and grab a train
