We have had that discussion before, assuming that some people did fill their bags to a point that had a significant impact on BA, I have never had any explanation as to how it could possibly be determined that this was a case of Gold stuffing their pockets when going onto Easyjet flights rather than Silver stuffing their pockets before boarding (shorthaul) BA flights given that food will be available on neither. In fact, the situation is worse on BA as you cannot even buy food, so that there is a much higher incentive for those flying BA economy to do this than those flying Easyjet and, secondly, there is a much higher number of silver flying BA economy than there was of Gold using open doors.

So, all in all, if there was a problem with people filling their bags, it was very substantially more likely to be BA Y passengers than U2 passengers.
