FYI I don't have an Indian visa and I can't leave the airport premises.
There is a hotel at the Delhi Airport - very nice, but kind of expensive. You could get a nice shower though and some good sleep.
There are also really cool sleeping pods that you can rent for $9.00 per hour. You can check email from there, sleep, or just relax.
