I am starting to plan our travel for 2012 and sorting through the possibilities. I was lucky enough to get a fair number of FF miles on CO and Delta last year. And was looking through the CO/UA and Delta flights to Buenos Aires. The UA flight out of IAD seems to offer the only lay flat seats. So I thought it might be a good option. Then I read this (which I assume was tongue in cheek):

<<I flew IAD/EZE in F last Thursday. I am still recovering from the luxury. I hope to recover sufficiently prior to tonight's return flights. It is clear that I truly do not appreciate the luxury of United First Class.

I think that you must realize that IAD and EZE are both airports of the highest quality, and UA is the gold standard of international air service. Once you realize this, and understand that you are experiencing the best that life has to offer, your experience will be much better.>>

I haven't flown UA for maybe 20 years - or been in IAD for maybe 25. So would this flight be a waste of my miles (I don't have millions of them to throw around like many people here on Flyertalk)? Note that I sleep on my stomach - so the idea of taking an all night flight on plane with lay flat seats is very appealing to me.

Any suggestions for other flights on CO/UA or Delta or partner airlines would be appreciated. Note that I fly out of JAX - which usually has pretty good service to the major CO/UA and Delta hubs. Robyn
