Continental Asiana snafu
3 weeks ago I booked a 1 way ORD-REP for Sept. 2012, called in and changed to SFO-REP for $75 in order to get the best lay flat seats available, logged into Asiana and selected seats, made a gazillion other reservations around that reservation-3 other flights, 4 hotel, 1 car rental-and checked the Continental site this morning to find my reservation....cancelled!
Brewed some coffee and stared at my phone till 7am central and was told Asiana cancelled the ticket "due to schedule change". No notification, nada.
Continental agent rebooked (last seat whew), I called Asiana to select seat, got the first leg but the second "not available at this time"-don't know how that can be, selected last time no problem-and was told because Continental didn't link the ORD-REP change correctly, Asiana cancelled. No notification. Lovely.
Just a word to the wise, check those award reservations like a hawk.
