From EWR, just take Newark Liberty Express bus to Grand Central Station, then from there take the New York airport service to JFK and vice versa. both are comfortable bus rides even with luggage.
Oh, is that all. So I drive 1 hour to EWR, wait another 20 minutes to take the bus (arriving early to get ready). Bus ride from EWR to Grand Central can easily be 30 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Let's say 30. Then another 15 minutes to transfer to JFK bus. Then the adventure ride to JFK which can range 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. In best case scenario this is 2 hours and 50 minutes, and worst case, 4 hours (if traffic is bad. Yeah, you made it sound like this is taking a 30 min. ride from airport to airport.
Alternatively from JFK, you may take the airtrain to Jamaica station, then take the Metro to Grand Central before riding the Newark express bus and vice versa..
If you have truly done this as you claimed. You will know JFK to Jamaica Station: 25 minutes. Transfer and wait for the train, 15 minutes. Jaimaica Station to Grand Central: 30-35 minutes. Transfer to Newark Express: 15 minutes. Grand Central to Newark: depending on traffic, 30 minutes to 2 hours. Again, best case: 1.5 hours to 3-4 hours depending on traffic. not good.
