I've always relied on the kindness of (ex) strangers
Brothers and Sisters, I had planned to take the text for today’s sermon from “Cat On a Hot Tin Roof” (Hint, Hint), but instead we look to another Tennessee Williams’ play, “A Streetcar Named Desire”. What, “I’ve always relied on the kindness of strangers” means to me is that any act of kindness brings us together as fellow human beings. To those of you ex-strangers who generously, and I mean very generously, contributed to the gift for our new daughter Abigail Sophia, my heartfelt thanks.
And so, I speak unto thee (and thee know who thou art):
And Yea, though you walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Delays, Cancellations, and Overbookings, may you fear no Evil, and may you and yours be comped, upgraded, perked, and rewarded forever. For Thy Status will give you the Power and the Glory, forever and forever.
