Problem is:

The guy who likes nice jazz gets a room with classical music.
The guy who likes classical music gets a room with heavy metal.
The guy who likes heavy metal gets a room with easy listening.
The gal (me) who likes silence gets noise.

It's hard to predict what a given guest would prefer when they enter a hotel room. Best to have all electronics off, then let the guest turn on the radio or plug in an iPod and select what they want to hear.
