Most likely I will only have carry on luggage. There's also an alternative flight via MUC, that would leave me with two possible connecting flights to DUS, but for whatever reason I cannot get it priced on the neither lh.com or any other website.
What do you fellow flyertalkers think about that?
I have done plenty of VIE - DUS recently, often enough on the 8pm flight. We never had a finger, only a bus to the plane. 35 mins is quite tight I would say, especially since you might also be on a bus on the way in.
