Sure, we'll hold the Canadian Plus wake at your room flyme2, after brunch on Sunday. I'll bring a bottle of single malt (as well as something from my cellar for the tasting, maybe a Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc from New Zealand, bought at the winery).
As for Monday's tours:
We will be doing Air Canada's Aeroplan Centre at 9:30 and go to about 11. This is a call and operations centre in central Montreal.
We then drive to Dorval (we should have enough vehicles at our disposal) for a lunch provided at AC headquarters (Noon to 1:15). They use their staff restaurant as a test kitchen for inflight Executive/ExecutiveFirst menus and it is run by their caterer, Cara.
Question: I am trying to have a tour of behind the scenes at the terminal set up for those non-Aeroplan/Canadian Plus guests to cover off most of the lunch hour, with a snack lunch. Reason -- We will be meeting over lunch with AC senior execs (Rupert Duchesne, SnrVP in charge of intergrating AC and Cdn, and Marc Trudeau, SnrDir loyalty programs) and presenting them with our "Perfect Airline" posts from the AC forum. This may be too self-indulgent for some of you, so let me know if you'd like an optional tour here, or just a nice lunch and bear with us Canucks and our "shoptalk". (FYI: Last week AC announced that Cdn+ will be merged into their Aeroplan program as of Jan 1st, 2000, so our meeting is very timely since all the details have not been worked out as yet.)
Tour of Engine Shop, Component Maintenance Shop and Overhaul Facility (1:30 to 2:30/3).
So far, the following have confirmed their intention to join us Monday:
