No problem I thought, just an easily correctable error. Well, 20 minutes on the phone to the DD with the agent consulting a supervisor came back with the answer first that it can't be done and then second "we'll add you as a second guest, but under your wife's HHonors number." Which, of course, does nothing. When I pointed out that if she weren't staying with me, using her points is still perfectly legitimate, but that my name would have to be on the rez. That logic didn't connect.

Is this a call back until you find a better agent issue? She said (after talking to the supervisor) that this had changed in April which I can't refute since it was longer ago than that when I know this wasn't the policy.

your name can go on the reservation using your wifes points, however, it's her points you are using, so her hhonors number has to stay on the reward certificate (this is the account the points are coming from).

If you remove her name, then she won't get stay/night credit for the stay and neither will you because it's her hhonors account. If you are counting nights and stays on her account you should leave her name on the cert. since you are travelling together anyway. ^

If arriving at different times, just add your name to the reservation not removing her name. But, this will not get your diamond status recognized either; since you are staying on her account not yours.
