motnot, I can understand your dilemma here. In contrast, I have had no problem exchanging coupons the few times that I have, and am thankful for that. I like to think that this board is very good at policing itself and using discretion when “discussing” issues like this. I think that you have taken the correct approach in trying to deal with this offline, but I do not blame you for wanting to raise the point here to make sure that other people are aware of this person’s doings.
I would make one last attempt at trying to reconcile with this person, and at the same time letting the person know that this issue will be brought to the attention of the community if things are not panned out. Now, this does not mean a public hanging for the person, but it should certainly be obvious enough to make people aware of the caution that goes with dealing with this individual. Think of it as a public service announcement .
I understand that you gave these coupons away under the pretense that nothing was expected in return, but this individual has written to you that they have sent something-twice. This person should be accountable for their actions, or lack thereof in this case.
