If you login to Aeroplan and "Manage your rewards", select your itinerary I believe you will see a nice human readable breakdown. Unfortunately, since they did the gift card promo to distract form the other debacle, the site is so busy its "experiencing technical difficulties" and won't show the itinerary. I know I saw this nice breakdown somewhere and am _pretty_sure it was on the AE page...
