HNL-YVR-YYZ 3/17/11; AC 48/1132 (12hrs 35min)
Price: $1,920.70 CAD

UA: YYZ-SFO-HNL 3/9/12; UA 867/421 (12hrs 20 min)
HNL-LAX-YYZ 3/17/12; UA 534/8328 (15 hrs)
Price: $1269.92 CAD

A fare difference of $1301.56 CAD for two people! Same travel times, same status miles...why fly AC?
I'd suggest going by yourself. That would save you at least 1269.92, and the analysis you would use to arrive at such a conclusion would be as valid as the one you have displayed in this post.
