Hi Nicci,

One question only. If I book AMS-HKG there is a direct flight on CX which is 60K in J (one way). However, if the direct flight is not available I am 'forced' to take a detour even if I don't want to. I am charged for this detour as well. I thought the chart was based on distance between point of origin and destination but it is on actual miles flown even if BA can't offer the direct flight?
