It's usually more than that (Tesco, hotel bonuses etc), but with 4 seats needed doing the BA EZE route is still now 340k even just in whY vs 280k for the redemption I have coming at Xmas.
But my main complaint/question is about whether the new pricing is simpler or more consistent than before (as ocdb8r observes). For non-direct routes it's neither simpler or cheaper IMO.
[It's becoming the final straw though. Coupled with the ever-increasing taxes/surcharges (I've been redeeming this route for about 12 years and there's certainly a trend ;-), lack of Gold differentiation (I fly Club or First, so I get a lounge without status whomever I fly with) just makes me wonder what is or has been the point of being loyal to BA.]
