Why should it more miles to take a BA routing than an Iberia one (and especially annoying because BA longhaul beats Iberia longhaul)

According to the 2 partner award chart that distance would be 30k so can I do Iberia (LHR-MAD) + LAN (MAD-SCL) as my 2 partners?
I'm not sure what all your complaining about. This is clearly "Straightforward pricing for reward flights"
