As he was offering to move us to a new room, it would have cost him nothing to put us in a suite (the place was empty), offer breakfast the next morning or even a drink in the bar. But there was nothing 'above and beyond' extended.
Sounds like almost every Aloft I've ever stayed in. At least they are consistent on the type of service they provide across the brand
