You're already well on your way with the best way to build up your BA account - charge everything possible on Diners Club, and redeem for BA miles during the 2-for-1 sale. They had it last summer and are repeating it now, so let's hope next summer as well. In fact, my very first BA Executive Club miles were some from Diners at the end of last summer's sale, before my first flight, even!
