Departure level luggage storage is more expensive than Arrivals level, Chinese commercial logic. According to local style you have to do the physical storage by yourself after the luggage is security checked.

There is an Ajisen Ramen also upstairs from Departures level at T2. Pretty good price/quality ratio compared to the other rip-off eateries in both terminals. Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park has some rather good Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Western restaurants at their shopping mall, on line 2 just one stop before Longyang Rd if coming from the Airport.
