I don't think it's possible to fly to Hawaii over night because of the time change.

An alternative maybe to start in HNL because you can get there a bit later in the evening (still not an overnight flight, but you could leave your home later in the day) and then hop to OGG.

My experince is that inter-island flights can be had for less than $100. That doesn't seem worth the 5000 miles to me.
