I live in New Hampshire. I have my name on a "waiting list" for a generator at Home Depot, Sears and Tractor Supply. I figure, whoever gets them first, I'm in. Come early. Once I get my generator, we are guaranteed never to have a storm again, but until then, it's a gamble.

Seriously, I wouldn't cut it that close. If you can make a run in early December, I'd do it. Historically, you should be fine, but the last 5 years have defied "historically".
