I also beat you to the donut. Had my first one from the Union City store last Wednesday. One of the fellows I was working with lives in Union City, and he brought 4 dozen in, 2 dozen glazed and two dozen assorted.

(Union City has suddenly acquired cachet.)

After making sure that I had gotten my share of glazed donuts, I started screaming at the people who were about to choose from among the cake donuts and crullers, "NO, NO, THE GLAZED, THE GLAZED!" Most people don't know from Krispy Kreme in the Bay Area. (They will soon enough...) The glazed donuts disappeared after several minutes, while the cake donuts and crullers sat pathetically on the table the rest of the day.

Myself, I've been eatin' em' since I was a tyke - back then, with a glass of milk, but nowadays, with a cup o' coffee. Sure is nice to see that we finally have a decent place to eat here in the Bay Area.

By the way, sorry to give you the third degree, and welcome to the "community." It's always good to have someone else from the area on board.
