The Ship in Wandsworth - Really good pub food and a great lively pub. I eat and drink here very frequently and hold a christmas eve lunch every year.

Tom Ilic on Queenstown Rd - great restaurant that doesn't get the credit it deserves. Often have very attractive set menu's

Santa Maria Del Sur - next to Ilic on Queenstown Rd. I admit I haven't been since Gordon seriously raised it's profile and it became a mad house. Argentinian steak house.

Chez Manny on Battersea High street is good.

The Harwood Arms in Fulham isn't far away and seriously good.

The Jolly Gardners - pub on Garratt lane in Wandsworth. I like this place, always an interesting menu that sets it apart from the rest. Sometimes outstanding and sometimes mediocre but as I say, I like it. Not as conveniently located as others.

Absolutely fantastic Indian takeaway on battersea rise called Delhi Delhi.
Oh thank you - Is it terribly wrong of me that I am thinking hitting the off licence and grabbing Indian take-out rather than going to a nice sit down place? We just don't have the same Indian take-out food that you get in the UK, so I do miss it! At least I am there for 2 dinner and 2 lunches (although I may sacrifice one to my people watching in Harvey Nics habit!) so may see a little more - The Ship sounds interesting - will do some research on the others as well.

I am also intrigued as to your restaurant... any hits?
