First off I am bored. I am just sitting here thinking about flying, miles, upgrades, business class, and elite status. So what is the point of have top level elite status on 2 airlines,if most of your travel is for lesiure and such?
I can understand having 2 programs if business travel is involved. In my opinion it seems outlandish just lesiure travel. Mainly, because the difficulty in retaining the status year to year.


I Guess i am wondering why one would go out of there way acqiure top level elite status on 2 different airlines it seems like a huge waste at times... granted I guess you would do it through a challange or something but i just don't see the point. sure I would love to have status at two airlines just the responsible part of me tells me it is not worth it.


I already feel like I get taken to the cleaners by the airlines sometimes...

In additon why would one want to be and EXP on AA and a 1k on UAL? The route networks overlap a tone too....... it just doesn't make sense(to Me).......

I can't justify spending the extra money to do MRs just to get to platinum in part i don't really feel like spending forever on planes between now and the end of the year
