Free internet in the room and about 5 mins walk to Bugis MRT station, very close to food courts (just a block away, we got our roti prata every morning with tea tarik), market, shopping malls, has a 7eleven in the same building and the NTUC fairprice supermarket not too far. Little India is not far too, less than 5 mins by taxi.
Room is clean and liked the hardwood flooring instead of carpet. There's no fridge in the room though, but it was not a problem.
We'll definitely stay there again in the future.
Thanks for that, at the moment Ibis is looking like our best bet budget wise.

Damn, Singapore hotels are expensive.
