ANd yes, I agree with the suggestion about clearing immigration and going through again if you have an EU passport (I have a UK passport), I have been in the lounge before my travelling companions were on the bus!)

Wow! 45 Minutes - never had that.
The worst things I had were LHR T5 and MUC T1B before they had the express lane.
