I think this is as much about developing secondary airports and filling out their presence in India and China, as well as regional European airports ... think NCL, DUS, BCN, etc. Looking at the FIDS in DXB, there are widebody services to places in India and China I'd never heard of.
We've noted before the massive untapped opportunity for BA in the BRICS nations that LH, AF/KL, et al seem to be waking up to, particularly in China.
