I recently switched from using Netjets to Delta Private Jets (DPJ). I had been a Netjets customer for over ten years and my flying on Netjets dwindled to a much lesser amount that I previously flew due to the economy. I was looking for a solution that combined commercial flying and private flying. DPJ was the perfect solution for me. Their product provides a seamless product for both commercial and private flying.
I have now been on DPJ for a year, and I have the following observations about the comparison between the two:
a - DPJ provide superior customer service over Netjets. DPJ has a small dedicated team of professionals that handles both the private and commercial side. With Netjets you are more or less calling into a call-center. You may get the same person occasionally, but usually not. I found the Netjets customer service experience to be very sloppy and worthy of the price.
b - The DPJ handling of commercial flights is a big plus. Not only do you get diamond medallion status, but you the VIP treatment all the way. The DPJ customer service desk handles everything and they make sure that the commercial flights are handled correctly.
c - The jets are somewhat equivalent. The Netjets felt is more consistent, but the aircraft is heavily used and can feel quite worn. DPJ has its own fleet and charters out when it needs to. My experience so far with DPJ is that the aircraft well maintained and feels nice when you get on board.
d - The pilots with both programs are great. Nice. Professional. Well trained.
e - With all costs in (Monthly, Hourly & Fuel for Netjets), both programs are priced similarly. They are both premium private jet products and are priced accordingly.
Enjoy.
