I ditched my compact camera years ago and now travel with a cameraphone. Occasionally I'll bring a DSLR. Most of my pics are taken with a cameraphone, year round.

My latest pick of cameraphone is Nokia N8. It might be the best camera on a phone currently. Xenon flash that even exposes close to correctly even when using macro. Best flash handling I've ever seen in a cameraphone.

The OS? I haven't explored the smart stuff much.. The biggest drawback is lack of some apps I absolutely need. I looove the GPS and maps, though.

What's your cameraphone recommendation, and why?

I will not even consider a phone that doesn't have a Xenon flash, but that's just me.
