This has been discussed on this board already. I remember one card member could not get this in writing and went through great lengths but failed and was verbally told they would be covered.

I will only say that if you are a good card member to amex they often go above and beyond and do offer coverage of the higher value card. What defines a good card member?....I have no idea....and sometimes think Amex may just tell everyone they are a valued card member.

Obviously if you truly want to depend on coverage you want to see it in writing and I am speaking from USA perspective and your question is for Canada.
